Identifying a hepatitis B symptom
Hepatitis B has an average incubation period of
approximately 120 days. Symptoms can begin to appear as early
as 45 days, or as late as 160 days.
Once symptoms begin to present, someone with
hepatitis B will begin to experience
-
abdominal tenderness,
-
arthritis,
-
fatigue,
-
fever,
-
jaundice,
-
joint pains,
-
malaise,
-
nausea
-
skin rashes,
-
vomiting
Anorexia may precede jaundice by 1-2 weeks
If you begin to experience these hepatitis B
symptoms, you should see a doctor to inquire about liver
function tests. If these tests show that you have elevated
liver enzymes, then you may have been infected with the
hepatitis B virus.
